SmartSkin Co2 Laser FACTS
The Smartskin Co2 laser:
Uses microthermal Co2 laser technology which resurfaces and rejuvenates the skin at multiple levels.
Stimulates the skin to make collagen, reversing the natural process of skin thinning and loss of collagen as we age.
Pigmented lesions (dark spots) react with the laser light to fade and lighten significantly.
The increase in natural collagen serves to tighten the skin and reduce fine lining.
A full face treatment only takes about half an hour, and recovery is in 5-10 days depending on the treatment.

SmartSkin is an ablative laser, which means it removes the outermost top layer of the epidermis, the stratum corneum. The heat from the laser light also reaches the dermis, however, there it remodels the skin by stimulating the formation of new collagen, the protein that gives skin youthful, healthy-looking volume. The loss of skin volume (usually as the result of sun damage) is what causes lines and wrinkles to form.
The technology is used to treat the following skin conditions:

SmartSkin CO2 anti-aging laser applies a series of tiny pulses of laser energy at the 10.600 nm wavelenth forming mico zones of ablation in the skin, stimulating deep (not just superficial) collagen formation and renewal. As these microscopic holes heal, new younger looking skin is revealed!
The SmartSkin treatment takes approximately 20-30 minutes. External eye shields will be applied as a protective measure, and cool air will be utilized as well as topical numbing cream applied prior to your procedure.
Afterwards, your skin will appear sunburned, if a light treatment is performed. If a heavy treatment is desired, there may be swelling, and pinpoint bleeding, followed by superficial sloughing of the old damaged skin. You’ll see immediate improvements in your skin, but the greatest changes will appear several weeks later, after the healing process is over and the skin has formed new, younger-looking tissue.
Based on how many treatments and how aggressive those treatments are, you many look several years younger. The principle of anti-aging laser skin rejuvenation is to renew the skin back to how it looked and felt 5-10 years ago, depending upon the degree of microablation.
